Review article is focussed on the various aspects of children bronchial asthma treatment with regard to the existing international and national recommendations as well as to the worldwide research assessing treatment with antiimflammatory and bronchodilatatory medicines. Recent data concerning adverse effects of long-acting β2 agonists and low-to-mediam doses of inhaled glucocorticosteroids are discussed with special focus on both undertreatment and overtreatment of children with bronchial asthma. Data from recent clinical studies stressing necessity to find appropriate inhaler for long-term treatment as key-point of better compliance and optimal asthma control are presented in this article.
