Gastrointestinal disorders in children with cystic fibrosis

In this article analyses gastrointesinal problems of cystic fibrosis patients. Pecularities of clinical manifestation of pancreatic insufficiency are surveyed. The degree of pancreatic destruction in cystic fibrosis is highly variable. It accounts for the differences in clinical presentation and severity of gastrointestinal manifestations. The article presents the overview of some aspects of pancreatic insufficiency, malabsorbtion, growth failure and other clinical features of children CF. Study presents data of personal observation of 57 children with cystic fibrosis in Kaunas university hospital.
